Allye Energy, a pioneering startup, has successfully developed the world’s inaugural mobile energy storage solution with the potential to replace conventional diesel generators on construction sites. This innovative system leverages repurposed batteries from electric vehicles, granting these batteries a second lease on life in a sustainable and impactful manner.

Named “Max,” this mobile energy storage unit boasts an impressive capacity of 300 kWh. Its primary purpose extends beyond just substituting diesel generators in industrial settings; it also aims to provide assistance to the British National Grid operator and smaller distribution network operators (DNOs) in the upkeep of regional energy networks. This versatile solution showcases its potential to contribute significantly to various sectors of the energy landscape.

The ecological equivalent of diesel generators

In comparison to diesel generators, this innovative mobile energy solution from the startup offers a more environmentally friendly and quieter alternative. With plans to roll out the initial units to industrial users in the third quarter of this year, Allye Energy envisions a significant scale-up by producing and deploying 10,000 Max units by 2030, collectively amounting to an impressive 30 GWh in total capacity.

Allye Energy’s ambitious projections indicate estimated revenues of £8.5 million in 2024 and a substantial increase to £45 million in 2025, reflecting the company’s strong growth trajectory and the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions.

Development financing

Allye Energy, a promising startup in the energy sector, has secured a substantial funding of £900,000. This investment will play a pivotal role in advancing the production capabilities of the company. The funding has been primarily provided by Elbow Beach Capital, with additional support from Alpha Future Funds.

The CEO of Allye, Jonathan Carrier, envisions that their innovative smart and mobile energy storage systems will have a transformative impact. By providing businesses and households with the ability to tap into cleaner and more cost-effective energy sources, Allye aims to contribute significantly to the evolution of sustainable energy solutions.
