New Home Energy Storage System from Germany
The German company Energiekonzepte Deutschland (EKD) has unveiled its new home energy storage system, Ampere.StoragePro E3, which has the potential to revolutionize how households manage energy. This system, designed in collaboration with the renowned Studio F. A. Porsche, stands out with its modern design and advanced technological solutions.
Key Features of Ampere.StoragePro E3
Ampere.StoragePro E3 is based on prismatic lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, which are known for their high level of safety and long lifespan. According to the manufacturer, the system can handle up to 12,000 charging cycles, making it one of the most durable options available on the market. EKD ensures that the device will maintain full performance for at least 10 years, which is an impressive achievement in the industry.
The Ampere.StoragePro E3 is available in six versions, offering capacities from 6.6 kWh to 23.1 kWh, and with the ability to connect multiple units in a cascade, users can expand the storage capacity up to 231 kWh. This makes the system adaptable to both small households and larger properties.
Technological Solutions
One of the key elements of the system is the three-phase inverter with a power output of 12 kW, featuring three independent maximum power point trackers (MPPTs). This allows it to optimize energy performance even under difficult conditions, such as shading of solar panels. The German manufacturer claims that these technologies can increase the actual system efficiency by 20%.
The Ampere.StoragePro E3 also includes an advanced safety platform that monitors the system’s parameters 24/7. If any abnormalities are detected, such as voltage, temperature, or current fluctuations, the system will automatically shut down to protect the home from potential hazards. Additional sensors are designed for early detection of short circuits and installation errors, which minimizes the risk of more severe failures.
Availability and Price
The Ampere.StoragePro E3 system is already available on the market, with various capacity options and configurations, allowing users to tailor it to their individual needs. Prices start at €6,000 (approximately $6,700), making it a competitive option in the advanced home energy storage system segment.
