The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management will soon start accepting applications for the “Hydrogenation of the Economy” program, which aims to support new hydrogen-powered vehicles.

The application process will run for three months, from June 3, 2024, to September 2, 2024. The program aims to support the research, development, and commercialization of new technologies for hydrogen-powered vehicles. The program’s budget is PLN 1.1 billion.

For whom?

The program is open to businesses and research institutions involved in R&D activities in Poland. Funding will be provided for projects developing new or upgraded hydrogen-powered units and for boosting production capacity (e.g., building a technological line or factory) for innovative projects.

Support will be in the form of grants or a combination of grants and loans. The funding amount will depend on the project type and can cover up to 85% of eligible costs for grants. The program aims to boost the hydrogen industry and enhance Poland’s economic potential by supporting innovative hydrogen-powered transport solutions.
