Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD has started selling its products in Greece, with the Sfakianakis Group appointed as the local dealer.

Ceremonial announcement of entry into the Greek market

BYD, recognized globally for its pioneering investments in environmentally friendly technologies, plays a significant role in electronics, electromobility, energy storage, and rail transit. On March 20, 2024, at the impressive Zappeion Megaron building in Athens, BYD representatives announced the launch of their passenger cars in the Greek market. This marks another milestone in the brand’s European expansion. The Sfakianakis Group has been appointed as the national dealership partner.

To start with, two models of electric cars

The first two BYD models available in Greece are the BYD ATTO 3 (C-SUV) and the BYD SEAL (D-Sedan). The BYD ATTO 3 is designed for drivers seeking efficient and intelligent electric performance, with advanced safety and multimedia systems. It is priced at €37,990.

The BYD SEAL is a sports sedan suitable for daily commuting, priced at €45,990. In the near future, the BYD DOLPHIN (C-Hatchback) and the BYD SEAL U (D-SUV) are also expected to arrive in Greece. These models will be available in both pure electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.

Two brick-and-mortar stores will open in Athens in April, where customers can view the vehicles, take test drives, and place orders.

Greece is another country where BYD products are present

BYD is currently present in 20 European countries and sells its electric cars and other products through over 250 stores across the continent. During the presentation of the business launch in Greece, Michael Shu, Managing Director of BYD Europe, welcomed the Sfakianakis Group to the BYD family. He stated:

“This is the first national launch of BYD Europe in 2024, making our partnership with the Sfakianakis Group in Greece particularly significant. We share a common vision and commitment to inspire and promote sustainable mobility through an innovative and diverse range of products offering high levels of technical performance. We are dedicated to making electromobility more accessible to more consumers and, together with our partner, Sfakianakis Group, we aim to provide a very high standard of local sales and after-sales services to customers in Greece.”
