Greenvolt Sells 231 MW of Wind and Solar Projects in Spain to Transiziona for €195 Million
Greenvolt, a leading European renewable energy project developer and a portfolio company of the KKR fund, has sold a 231-megawatt portfolio of wind and solar projects in Spain to Transiziona. The transaction was carried out in partnership with Green Mind Ventures and is valued at €195 million.
The deal includes a forward sale of 145 MW of projects set to reach commercial operation (COD), as well as a greenfield platform with an additional 86 MW of capacity from new developments.
Over the past two months, the Greenvolt Group has also announced the sale of other large-scale projects in Poland, with a total value of €333 million. Following the Spanish transaction, Greenvolt’s total asset sales in 2025 have reached approximately €530 million.
“The transaction in Spain, like our previous divestments in Poland, confirms our ability to develop large-scale renewable projects across different technologies and at various development stages. We’re pleased that our projects are attracting strong market interest, enabling us to successfully implement our asset rotation strategy while maintaining a solid project pipeline,” said João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group.
The company continues to pursue a strategy of rotating 70–80% of its large-scale projects at the Ready-to-Build (RtB) stage or after reaching operational status (COD). Currently, Greenvolt holds a project portfolio totaling 13.2 GW across 18 countries and plans to bring at least 5.3 GW to the RtB stage by the end of this year.
