ML System to Build Two Energy Storage Facilities in Podkarpackie. BESS-Group Contract Worth PLN 17.6 Million

A subsidiary of ML System – a Polish pioneer in building-integrated photovoltaics – has signed an agreement with BESS-Group for the construction of two energy storage facilities, each with a capacity of 5 MW and an energy storage capacity of 10 MWh. The total net value of the contract amounts to nearly PLN 17.6 million, and the projects will be developed in the Podkarpackie region.

Contract Details and Project Locations

The new BESS facilities will be built on a turnkey basis in Warzyce and Niegłowice (Jasło County, Podkarpackie Voivodeship).

The scope of work includes the comprehensive design and construction of both installations:

• Capacity of each storage facility – 5 MW
• Energy storage capacity of each facility – 10 MWh
• Combined parameters of both facilities – 10 MW / 20 MWh
• Contract value – approx. PLN 17.6 million (~USD 4.5 million / ~EUR 4 million)

Proprietary SCADA Software and Cybersecurity

An important element of the energy storage facilities will be their integration with the proprietary NexuView SCADA energy management system, developed directly by ML System. The software has been adapted to comply with stringent ICT security standards and grid operator requirements related to the stabilization and balancing of the national power system.

For ML System – a company known primarily for technologically advanced building-integrated photovoltaic solutions – entering the large-scale energy storage segment is a natural step in response to growing market demand. Energy storage is becoming increasingly important both as a standalone market asset and as a complement to commercial and industrial PV installations.
