Important Changes to Subsidies for Energy Storage Systems
The program “Subsidies for Residential Energy Storage Systems – Part 1”, financed from the National Recovery Plan (KPO), has undergone a significant update. The new rules, effective from April 20, 2026, expand access to funding for a wider group of prosumers and extend the time available to complete formal procedures.
Extended application deadline
The most tangible change for individuals planning an investment is the extension of the application deadline. The call for proposals, which was originally set to close on April 24, has been extended by six days – applications can now be submitted until April 30, 2026.
A new group of eligible beneficiaries
The criteria related to previous participation in support programs have also changed. Until now, funding was available only to participants of the sixth call of the “My Electricity” program.
After the update, the pool of eligible beneficiaries has been significantly expanded. Subsidies are now also available to individuals who participated in any previous edition of the “My Electricity” program, provided they meet one condition – they must settle their produced electricity under the net‑billing system.
Program objectives
The modification of the rules aims to ensure more effective use of funds from the National Recovery Plan and to increase energy self‑consumption in households. Thanks to residential energy storage systems, prosumers can realistically reduce electricity bills and relieve the national power system during periods of peak photovoltaic generation.
