Another step towards creating the Central Hydrogen Valley in Poland

According to the Ministry of Climate and Environment (MKiŚ), on July 17, a consortium of government representatives, energy companies, businesses, entrepreneurs, and scientists signed a letter of intent to establish the Central Hydrogen Valley. This ambitious project aims to encompass the entire spectrum of hydrogen production and its various applications.

The concept of covering the entire path of hydrogen production and use in the Central Hydrogen Valley implies that the project will encompass various components, including the production of electrolysers, hydrogen storage facilities, and systems that enable the generation of electricity from hydrogen. This holistic approach aims to create a comprehensive and integrated hydrogen ecosystem.

The Central Hydrogen Valley is anticipated to have a positive impact on economic growth and job creation. It is designed to serve as a catalyst for the development of the Świętokrzyskie, Masovian, and Łódź voivodeships.

One of the significant sectors set to benefit from hydrogen fuel in the Central Hydrogen Valley is the ceramics industry. Additionally, the project aims to play a crucial role in the decarbonization of transportation in major urban centers like Kielce and Radom, as well as in the transport network surrounding the Central Communication Port. By promoting the use of hydrogen in these applications, the project aligns with sustainability goals and economic development objectives.

New power units at the Kozienice power plant

The construction of power units using gas and steam technology has commenced in Kozienice. These units are designed to be adaptable for the utilization of low-emission hydrogen. The signing of the letter of intent for the Central Hydrogen Valley project also occurred in Kozienice, highlighting the region’s commitment to clean and sustainable energy solutions.
