Despite the hostilities, Ukraine is finalizing the construction of a 114 MW wind farm
“In the Mykolaiv region, a bunch of super-sized wind turbines are up and running! These wind turbines, made by Vestas and each capable of making 6 megawatts of power, have been put together – a total of 19 of them. And guess what This is just the beginning! The cool part is that they’re building a whole wind farm there that will eventually make a whopping 500 megawatts of power. The ones making this happen are the awesome folks at DTEK Group, who are making a big investment in this green energy project.”
“Down in southern Ukraine, they’re taking another big step towards the ’30 to 2030′ goal. This cool plan aims to set up a huge amount of clean energy – we’re talking 30 gigawatts worth – from sources like wind and sun by the year 2030. If they can pull this off, half of all the energy made in Ukraine will come from these clean sources.
Maksim Timchenko, the head honcho at DTEK Group, says they’re not stopping at just 19 wind turbines. They’re aiming to finish the whole 500 megawatts project. But, they might need a hand from friends around the world to make it happen.
Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, is a big fan of green energy. He’s been saying how important it is for the country’s future. The energy system is getting a makeover to make it more local. And you know what Building this wind farm isn’t just about making power. It’s like a symbol of good things happening, and it’s a way to encourage folks from other countries to help Ukraine get even better.”
